Lately, there are things Im going through, things happening to me… ... if I only knew what they are about … maybe I could do something on this matter? The works are a search for our personal subjectivity and the imprecise frontier between the real and the imaginary, starting from personal experiences and the context which is surrounding me, the subjective and personal, like a whole of experiences accumulated bit by bit. I use artificial communication being able to transcend from the me to the other person, to make the spectator see and feel them with a different view; presenting them in an abstract way and continuously raising again the problem of the inter-subjective communication of the artistic experience. Up till now, my installations have mainly worked autonomously, they were created “ex profeso” to give way to photographic works which were turning into a reinterpretation of these. Now the circle is closing, reconsidering the medium video as kind of photography with movements, with a fixed camera, dispensing with the previously used “diaporamas”, to be able to place the spectator more directly into the scene. I’m presenting to the spectator and let him face information fragments (photographs, videos, sounds) being unfinished, after all in dreams more than in pictures, what in the end remains are sensations, impressions of the experienced, staying far from being clear; forcing the spectator to continue the scene represented there, to reconstruct it of his own experience. The photographic production that forms the exposition is presented like 9 stories reinterpreted by the video they belong to; the majority of them characterised by a physical fragmentation of the characters enabling them to acquire their own autonomy and making them stay between the dead and the animated. Characters apparently anonymous, showing fragments like a “puzzle”, open for the “mosaic” the spectator wants to form out of them. They are either of big size, screened at the wall as continuation of the picture in the room, or of medium size. Daydreams: The common aspect of all of them is their egocentrical character, with the help of the main character the scene will always lead the into an imaginary real space. The dreamer will be in the centre of this scene, while the rest is moving to the background.
